Earley, Lower Earley and the Whiteknights side

Lower Earley is one of the larger estates in the country and it drives like a maze. Half the job here is finding the car.

The estate roads loop and rejoin with near-identical names, and satnav gets confused where the numbering restarts, so a house number and a nearby cut-through saves everyone time. Student cars around Whiteknights are the other half of the district: bought cheap, driven little, and running tyres that were on the legal limit two owners ago. Uneven wear and dead spare wheels are common there. Thames Valley Park is barriered business estate with long internal roads and pool cars that sit for weeks. The A329(M) runs along the edge and contributes the high-speed damage.
