Day and Night Mobile Tyres runs a mobile tyre and recovery desk in Virginia Water, Surrey. This page covers four ways you might reach it: the phone on 020 4634 1013, WhatsApp on that same number, email to help@dayandnighttyres.co.uk, and simply reading dayandnighttyres.co.uk. We are the controller for all four.

The box on the front page does not send us anything

It is a WhatsApp shortcut, not a form. It takes what you typed, stitches it into a message, and opens WhatsApp with that message sitting there ready. Nothing is stored on this website and nothing reaches the desk until you press send inside WhatsApp yourself. Shut the tab instead and we never saw it.

The enquiry log

Once an enquiry does land, it goes in a log: a name, a number to ring back on, where the vehicle is, what it is, what failed, and what we quoted. Photographs if you sent any. That log is how the van finds you, how the price stays the price, and how we answer a fleet or an insurer asking about a job months later. The grounds are the contract for the work itself, and our own interest in being able to show what was agreed.

WhatsApp threads

A WhatsApp conversation is carried by WhatsApp under its own terms, on its own servers, and it sits on our handset afterwards like any other chat. If you would rather not use it, the phone line does the same job.

The counter on these pages

Page views are counted. The counter sets no cookie, does not follow you off this site, and does not tell us who you are — what comes back is totals, not people. There is no advertising pixel here, no tag manager, and no remarketing list.

Hands other than ours

The firm hosting these pages and running that counter. The telephone network carrying the call, which keeps its own connection records. WhatsApp, as above. The mailbox provider. A card processor at the point you pay. Nobody buys a marketing list off us, for the simple reason that we do not keep one.

How long any of it sits there

A quote that never turned into a job gets dropped within a few months. A completed job is kept six years, because that is how long the accounting rules want the paperwork and roughly how long a dispute can take to surface. Chat threads get cleared down with the rest of the handset.

Having it deleted

Ask. Email help@dayandnighttyres.co.uk or say it on the phone, with a rough date so the job can be found. You can also ask for a copy of what is held, or have a detail corrected. We answer inside a month. The only thing we hold back is a record an accountant or an open claim still needs.

If we handle it badly

Tell us first, because that is the quick route. If it goes nowhere, the Information Commissioner’s Office takes complaints about how a business handles personal data — ico.org.uk.
