Hazard lights, a flap of belt, and a hard shoulder you should not occupy for long. That is a night job. We find you, make the car safe to work on, and put a proper tyre on so you are not waiting for a transporter you did not need.
On the ground
- Pin what you can see: Virginia Water station, the A30 dual, M25 J13, the Wentworth gates
- We treat 2am the same as 2pm when the car cannot roll
- We will not tell you to crawl home on a carcass
- If the rim is folded we say so, rather than hanging new rubber on scrap
What people ask
Should I stay in the car?
On a fast stretch of the A30 or the M25 slip, get behind the barrier if there is one. On a quiet GU25 lane, staying with the vehicle is usually fine. Tell us which it is so we know how to approach.
How long at night?
It depends where you are relative to the van, not the clock. Give the landmark. We will give a window, not a fantasy.
What if I only have a doughnut spare?
If you can fit it safely, do. If you cannot, wait. We would rather fit a proper tyre than watch a space-saver fail two miles later.
