Day and Night Mobile Tyres is a mobile tyre and recovery outfit working out of Virginia Water, Surrey. No branch, no waiting room. The van is the workshop. Ring the desk, message it, or read dayandnighttyres.co.uk, and the terms below are the ones in play.

Where a job starts

It starts when we have agreed three things: the vehicle, where it is, and what has gone wrong with it. Everything after that hangs off those three. Change one and the job is a different job.

The number we give you

What you hear on the call is priced off what you told us on the call. A buckled rim under the flat, a locking nut with no key in the glovebox, a size that turns out not to be the size — any of those move the number. You hear the new one before a spanner is lifted, and walking away at that point costs nothing.

Turning up

We do not sell an arrival time in minutes and we will not invent one. The A30, the M25 at J13 and whatever the van is finishing before yours all get a say. When the van is running behind, you hear it from us rather than from silence.

Ground we will turn down

A live lane. A verge on a blind bend. Soft ground with nothing solid under the jacking point. Where working is not safe we say no and offer to move the vehicle somewhere it is, which is a recovery and priced as one.

The fitting itself

Nuts go back to the torque figure the manufacturer sets for that car. A hole outside the legal repair area does not get plugged; you are told why and offered rubber instead. Tyres, batteries and parts carry the maker’s own warranty, and we pass a claim through rather than pretend the guarantee is ours to give.

Settling

Money changes hands at the vehicle when the work is finished, unless something else was arranged first. Card at the roadside is the usual route. Anything we fit stays ours until the payment has actually cleared, not merely been promised.

If something is wrong afterwards

Ring the same number first. Tell us what the car is doing and when it started doing it. We would rather come back and look at it than read about it second hand. Nothing written here takes away the rights the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you.

What this site is not

These pages describe the work in general terms. They are not a promise that a van is free on a particular street at a particular hour, and any price mentioned anywhere on the site is an indication rather than an offer. The patch is the list we publish, and nothing wider than it.
