Where does Day and Night actually work?
Virginia Water is the desk — GU25. We cover Egham, Englefield Green, Thorpe, Staines-upon-Thames, Wraysbury, Windsor, Old Windsor, Datchet, Eton, Sunningdale, Sunninghill, Ascot, Windlesham, Bagshot, Lightwater, Wentworth and Longcross. If you are past that list, send the postcode. We will say yes or no before a van moves.
Is the number answered after midnight?
Yes. The same handset rings at 3am as at 3pm. After midnight the queue leans towards vehicles stuck where they should not be — a carcass on the A30, a battery that died in a car park about to be locked, something sitting across a lane. A pair of tyres on your own drive can take a daylight slot instead.
What do you need before you can price it?
Ring 020 4634 1013, or put it on WhatsApp to the same number. Three things: where the car is sitting, what it is, and what has gone wrong. The number comes back on that call — nobody arrives and invents one on your drive. Email is the slow lane; help@dayandnighttyres.co.uk is for anything that can wait for daylight.
Do you only fit one brand of tyre?
No. Tell us what you want on the car and we will source it if it exists in your size. Where the exact brand is not reachable that night, you hear which makes are, and what the practical difference is, before anything goes on the rim.
I am on the A30. Where should I wait?
Hazards on. Out of the vehicle and the far side of any barrier, well back from moving traffic. Then give us something with a name on it — a junction number, a gate, a filling station. Half the delay on a night job is finding the right slip road.
How does payment work?
At the vehicle, once the job is finished and you have looked at it. Card at the roadside is normal. Say at the time if the receipt needs to name a lease company, an insurer or a fleet account.
Is a tyre fitted on the drive as good as one fitted in a workshop?
Same torque wrench, same balancer, same checks. The wheel comes off the car either way. What changes is that nobody has to drive on a flat to reach us. Where the rim underneath is cracked or badly kerbed, you get told that instead of a new tyre quietly hung on it.
Am I getting a call centre?
No. The phone is answered by the people who load the van. Ask how wide the lane is at the Wentworth gates, or which way the traffic runs on the A30 at that hour, and the answer will be a real one rather than a script.
