Chineham, Old Basing, Popley and the hospital side

North Basingstoke: business parks, a hospital, and a very old village sitting in the middle of it all.

Chineham Business Park and Daneshill are barriered estates with long internal roads, and their car parks fill with vehicles left all day or all week — long enough for a slow puncture to become a flat and a battery to go with it. The hospital works round the clock and produces night calls accordingly, which suits how we run. Old Basing is the opposite: narrow historic lanes, a river crossing, high kerbs and cars parked with two wheels up. Popley, Lychpit and Rooksdown are newer estates with parking courts. The A33 north out of the district is fast and carries lorry debris.
