This is estate country. Long crescents, cars parked nose-in on the kerb, and speed tables at regular intervals — which is where the tyre damage really comes from. Take a table at the wrong angle often enough and the inner shoulder wears through before the rest of the tread is anywhere near legal. The Yorktown Road end is busier and picks up the through-traffic punctures. School-run hours make some of these roads effectively single-lane, so where we can park matters as much as the job itself.
