Bagshot, where the A30 meets the A322

Bagshot is a crossroads with a village attached. Two trunk roads meet here and the tyre work follows them.

The A30 and A322 both run heavy, and the junction between them is stop-start all day — which is where you find the debris that punctures tyres, sitting in the gutter line and the filter lanes. The High Street parking is angled and tight against the kerb, so a wheel takes the same corner every day until the alloy splits. Behind that it goes green quickly: walled estate roads round Bagshot Park, gravel, and drives with a lip at the entrance that is exactly the wrong height for a low car.

On the A30 through the village there is nowhere sensible to work. We will usually move the car first and fit it somewhere safe.
