GU46 is one town and nothing else. Yateley, and it keeps us honest about what a small district needs.

Most of the housing here went up in one go, which means wide estate roads, plenty of kerb, and drives with a dropped-kerb lip that has settled unevenly over the years. That lip is the thing that quietly cuts sidewalls — not on the day, but a month later when the cut opens up. Reading Road carries the through-traffic and the debris. Round the commons the road edges break away into sand, and a car that puts a wheel down there is not always coming out on its own.

A sidewall cut is not repairable, however small. If yours is on the shoulder rather than the tread, expect a replacement.
