Day and Night Mobile Tyres

TW20

Egham, Englefield Green and the Runnymede side

Next door to us. TW20 runs from the Thorpe lanes up Egham Hill to Englefield Green, and we are on it constantly.

Egham Hill is the one that catches people out. Long, steady climb, heavy braking at the top, and a lot of student cars parked on it around Royal Holloway with tyres that were legal in September and are not now. Down at Runnymede the meadow car parks flood and the verges chew sidewalls. Thorpe, Thorpe Green and Stroude are single-track with high banks and no pull-in, so a flat there means the road behind you stops. Pooley Green and Thorpe Lea are terraced parking, wheel half on the kerb, alloy taking the hit.

On the lanes round Thorpe there is often nowhere safe to jack. If the tyre cannot be changed where it sits, we recover it instead.
