Stanwell, Wraysbury and the roads under the flight path

TW19 does not really sleep, and neither does the desk. Stanwell, Stanwell Moor, Wraysbury, Hythe End and Sunnymeads.

The traffic here is shift traffic. People coming off nights, hotel car parks, long-stay bays where a car has sat for two weeks and come back down on its rims. The A3044 and Stanwell Moor Road carry a lot of heavy stuff at odd hours and shed the debris to match, so nail-in-tread is the standard job. West of that it changes character completely: Wraysbury and Sunnymeads are reservoir roads, level crossings and lanes that flood at the edges, and the potholes hide under standing water until an alloy finds one.
