Hospital car parks generate a particular kind of call: someone finishing a shift at an hour when nothing is open, walking out to a flat, and needing the car for the next one. We work those hours, so that is a phone call rather than a problem. In the residential streets off Staines Road the parking is nose-to-tail and mostly kerbside, which means wheels take the kerb edge every day until an alloy cracks. Ashford Common runs to wider roads and older estates, and there the usual find is a tyre worn to the belt on the inside shoulder from tracking nobody has checked.
