Ascot, Sunningdale, Sunninghill and the racecourse belt

Straight up the road from us, and one of the districts we know best. Ascot, Sunningdale, Sunninghill and the hamlets tucked between them.

The A329 through Ascot is fast in both directions with parked cars either side, which is a poor combination when a tyre goes. On a race day the whole thing turns into a car park and the verges take a hammering — soft ground, hidden kerbs, and a lot of cars driven onto grass and back off it with a rim full of damage. Sunningdale and Sunninghill are gravel-drive country: long approaches, sharp flint in the gravel, and low-profile tyres that were never meant for it. Blacknest, Broomhall, Chavey Down and Cheapside are lanes with blind bends, so where we park matters as much as what we fit.
