Chertsey, Ottershaw, Longcross — inside the M25 elbow

KT16 is wrapped around the M25 and M3 interchange, and it shows in the work. Motorway debris on one side, gravel lanes on the other.

Chertsey town is bridge, bottleneck and car parks; the Meads is open ground with rough access roads that punish low cars. Longcross and Lyne are private-estate and studio country — long approach roads, security gates, and surfaces that go from smooth to broken without warning. St Peter's Hospital runs the clock round and produces the same night calls the hospitals always do. Thorpe Park empties several thousand cars at closing time, and the car park lighting is good enough to find a flat and not much else.
